This plate features a detailed scene of a peaceful, country English watermill. There is a church tower in the background while there are trees and a stream, complete with a boat, in the foreground. The rim of the plate has ornate illustrations of flowers, foliage and grains. It is a traditional-looking Staffordshire pottery bowl with brown print on white, made by Broadhurst. The back has the company stamp, "Broadhurst, Staffordshire, Est. 1847, Ironstone, Made in England."
